This policy (“Accessibility Policy”) describes how https://mappingsandiego.com (“we”, “us,” “our”) enforces and implements practices, methods, and procedures relating to the accessibility of digital interfaces, services, or other materials.

We also adhere to the accessibility standards set forth by San Diego State University, as this research project is connected to San Diego State University.

- Services, such as the mapping and survey application on the Website.

We will aim to follow modern digital accessibility standards for these assets, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA or greater. Implementation of standards may vary depending on the limitations of the device, medium, or tools being used. For example, the mapping application implemented on the Website incorporates interactive elements that may not be fully accessible for screen readers or users who are not using a mouse or cursor. Nonetheless, these standards will be prioritized alongside other best practices to ensure sufficient accessibility for users.

To ensure the level of digital accessibility remains adequate on the Website, Services, and other engagements or materials, we will proactively conduct testing and training to confirm the active level of accessibility and areas of improvement.
All team members, contractors, or other people contributing to the digital services and experiences will be given documentation, guidance, and training to ensure they understand their responsibilities as it pertains to this Accessibility Policy and the overall commitment to creating inclusive experiences for people it engages with.

If we make significant changes that affect the accessibility of our digital services, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the changes, such as notifying you here, by email, or by means of a notice on the Website.
